Ozymandias 18ct yellow gold ring rub over set with peridot 3.40cts, Blue topaz 1.90cts and iolite 1.22cts and diamonds between two bands of gold
An usually coloured three stone ring -seemingly straightforward in design - is complex to create with the added challenge of my passion for unusual ( and therefore often difficult to set and work with ) stones. This ring is about shades and hues of colour every stone has been specially cut and then selected by me. The title of the great poem by Shelley, 'Ozymandias ' : 'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings; Look on my works ye Mighty and despair!' inspired this design from my trip to Egypt in 2006. Ozymandias seemed equally appropriate for my majestic multicoloured ring
