Rosetta diamond & pearl gold pendant

The one of the three great depositories of Egyptian treasures : the British Museum ( the other two being the Louvre, Paris and Il Museo Egizio, Turin) houses the Rosetta Stone. Though it had an interesting voyage there, discovered by Napoleon, it was later given to the British. It was the understanding of the Rosetta stone by Champollion, a frenchman, in his race to read the hieroglyphics that suddenly revealed to the world not only the importance of Ancient Egypt but its greatness and its chronology - and it was this story that encouraged the design for this pendant, having envelopped me in the emotional feast that draws us all to Egypt
