Inspired by the flower of the same name with its delicate long stamens reaching out from the flower petals.
Upon visiting the Taj Mahal, I found beautifully decorated ceilings inside the buildings to either side of the main monument. The patterns stayed with me for a while and later, I sketched up the design for my Taj Mahal pendant (which can also be worn as a centre piece on a necklace of pearls or as a brooch).

''In Merida, there is a tradition of 'S' shaped benches in the park where young girls could meet their lovers and yet appear to be not meeting, not having a 'conversacion'. In a modern day twist, I turned my bench so the two lovers could sit side by side. And like two individuals, each of the stones in my Conversacion pendants and earrings are unique and different, both in colour and shape.''
Cassandra's Zellije design is inspired by the colourful starlike patterns of the ceramic mosaics imitating the Greco Roman mosaics, but is reimagined with swivelling spikes and pave set diamonds.
