Uxmal oval small bangle in silver. Standing to the side of the Pyramid of the Magician, the decoration of the North wall of the Nunnery at Uxmal, the greatest of the Puuc style of Mayan architecture, is triumphant. A detail formed the basis of this design. Uxmal means ' thrice built' in Mayan language. From the journey to Mexico.

This bangle measures approximately 7mm wide.

Uxmal

In the courtyard near the pyramid of the Magician at Uxmal towers, the stone carvings in the frieze take the form of an undulating ribbon. With a little alchemy, I transformed the stone into a gold (or silver) cuff, hoping not to ruffle any of those priestly feathers up on high.

Silver

Silver is the most malleable of metals and when freshly polished takes a mirror like shine. All of the sterling silver used in Cassandra Goad jewellery is of the highest quality and crafted in one of our workshops in London. Cassandra always finds her silver from sustainable sources and where possible recycles the metal; never compromising on quality.

If you would like to have this design crafted bespoke for you in another metal - yellow, white or rose gold - please contact us and we will be delighted to make this for you. In some designs we can also mix metals in the same design.
