Iguminov double ended cufflinks in 9ct yellow gold set with ruby cabochon ends. From the journey to Russia.
Each cufflink measures approximately 14x9mm.
"There was snow falling in Moscow when I visited the Iguminov House. I brushed the snow off the stone window sill with my gloves and lent against it, warming my face in the sunshine as I read Pushkin. It was when I paused for a moment that I glanced across and saw what the brushed away snow had revealed: a trellis pattern carved in the bosse with a twist of rope at the meeting point. I sketched it on the edge of a page, pondered it and once back in the workshop recreated the stone mason's idea in silver and gold."
One of the rarest precious gemstones, rubies are famed for their resplendent red lustre and strong, emotional hues. Radiating love, health, and physical strength, this powerful corundum gem absorbs natural light, symbolically soaking up the powers of the sun.
The birthstone for July and a celebratory gemstone for 40th wedding anniversaries, rubies blaze with strength and passion, protecting you from negativity, misfortune, and evils.
All Cassandra Goad Jewellery is designed and made in our workshops in London.
Ever in search of the unusual and rare, Cassandra travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form.
The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal. The jewel is then mounted, assayed, polished and set.
