Iguminov double ended cufflinks in silver and electric blue enamel. The design allows the crossed hatch pattern to be highly polished leaving the recesses matt so giving the design depth and sparkle. It has become one of Cassandra's classic signature designs. From the Journey to Russia.
The top of each cufflink measures approximately 14x9mm.
Inspired by the window frame of the Iguminov House in Moscow, from the journey to Russia. "There was snow falling in Moscow when I visited the Iguminov House. I brushed the snow off the stone window sill with my gloves and lent against it, warming my face in the sunshine as I read Pushkin. It was when I paused for a moment that I glanced across saw what the brushed away snow had revealed : a trellis pattern carved in the bosse with a twist of rope at the meeting point. I sketched it on the edge of a page, pondered it and once back in the workshop recreated the stone mason's idea in silver and gold."
Silver is the most malleable of metals and when freshly polished takes a mirror like shine. All of the sterling silver used in Cassandra Goad jewellery is of the highest quality and crafted in one of our workshops in London. Cassandra always finds her silver from sustainable sources and where possible recycles the metal; never compromising on quality.
If you would like to have this design crafted bespoke for you in another metal - yellow, white or rose gold - please contact us and we will be delighted to make this for you. In some designs we can also mix metals in the same design.
All Cassandra Goad jewellery is designed and made in the

As a gemmologist, the chemical composition and properties of
gemstones have always fascinated Cassandra. Ever in search of the
unusual and rare, she travels the world to source beautiful
gemstones, either in the rough or cut form. The craftsman works as
an artist recreating the design in metal, his interpretation is
vital to the overall feel of the jewel. The jewel is then mounted,
assayed , polished and set. Many of Cassandra's jewels can be hand
engraved with a personal message to make a unique bespoke gift.
Count Orlov gave his lover the Empress Catherine jewels beyond compare. Locked up in the dimly lit corridors of the Kremlin, they inspired Cassandra to create new jewels sparkling with gemstones. The St Basil's bracelet mixes enamels and cabochon gems. The pushkin cufflinks are timelessly elegant.
