Villa Tasca double ended cufflinks in silver. Villa Tasca, Palermo was built in the 1500s and is surrounded by its incredible garden. The finials on the top of the house lent themselves perfectly to be transformed into gold or silver motifs. From the journey to Sicily.
The face of the cufflink measures approximatelly 10x20mm.
The roof top finials on Villa Tasca are swathed in garlands of vines and grapes, telling of the wines of the Tasca family. I spent afternoons in their gardens on the edge of Palmero reading about Sicily and gathering ideas and stories for my collection. And so it was one afternoon, I sketched the urns and made them golden: in a long necklace and cufflinks.
Silver is the most malleable of metals and when freshly polished takes a mirror like shine. All of the sterling silver used in Cassandra Goad jewellery is of the highest quality and crafted in one of our workshops in London. Cassandra always finds her silver from sustainable sources and where possible recycles the metal; never compromising on quality.
If you would like to have this design crafted bespoke for you in another metal - yellow, white or rose gold - please contact us and we will be delighted to make this for you. In some designs we can also mix metals in the same design.
All Cassandra Goad Jewellery is designed and made in our workshops in London.
Ever in search of the unusual and rare, Cassandra travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form.
The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal. The jewel is then mounted, assayed, polished and set.
