Cactus double earstuds in 9ct yellow gold set with diamonds. Inspired by the round spiked cactus that Cassandra came across in her journey through Mexico. These incredible plants endure and thrive in harsh conditions thanks to, a large extent, their spikes. From the Journey to Mexico.
The cactus is a significant emblem of Mexico. However, the challenge of creating a prickle without a spike arose. Shrewdly, Cassandra used the old Victorian technique of setting to add extra sparkle, with deepy engraved sharp lines to achieve this.
Diamond- from the Greek 'adamas' means the unconquerable and so it is, being the hardest of all gemstones. From yellowish to green, red, pink and blue, diamonds are found in all colours in South Africa, Australia, as well as Namibia, Russia and China.
All Cassandra Goad Jewellery is designed and made in our workshops in London.
Ever in search of the unusual and rare, Cassandra travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form.
The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal. The jewel is then mounted, assayed, polished and set.
