The capital of China has been variously named: Nanjing, Peking and Beijing. After Cassandra's stay at the Broughton Castle in Oxfordshire, where hand-painted butterflies, flitted and fluttered across the beautiful 18th century Chinese wallpaper, Cassandra was inspired to sketch the first designs. So, Cassandra named these differently sized pieces after the varying names of the capital: Peking, Nanjing and Beijing. From the journey to China.
