Star Anise is inspired by the beautiful gardens of Suzhou in China where wisteria flowers cascade the walls, and cherry blossoms fall like confetti over the small pools. And through intricate open 'windows' intriguing vistas are framed. It was through one of these 'windows' with its latticework shaped in a quatrefoil pattern that inspired Cassandra to create her Star Anise design - the shape reminding her of the Star Anise seed pods .
