Tortilla 9ct yellow gold necklace pendant (17mm) set with ten rose cut diamond. Inspired by the patterns decorating a house on Calle 41 in Valladolid, Mexico. It appeared as if the wet plaster had been cut with swirling lines with occasional stones set in relief. From the Journey to Mexico.
This pendant measures approximately 17mm in diameter.
The pendant is shown here on an Finetrace chain.
All Cassandra Goad pendants are sold without chains so that you may select the chain of your choice, both in style and length. If you would like to add a chain have a look at our selection here.
In Mexico, tortillas are made everyday. Round like the sun, their surfaces like a lunar landscape, golden and with occaisonal crisp craters. And so it was that I discovered that no meal is complete without them. Tortillas were as important as anything in Mexico.
When I design, I always try to get the heart of a country and if I can, I translate it into a jewel. My tortilla design is Mexico's heart in a golden celebration of double or triple cascading earrings and a long necklace with tortillas tumbling, one after another.
Diamond- from the Greek 'adamas' means the unconquerable and so it is, being the hardest of all gemstones. From yellowish to green, red, pink and blue, diamonds are found in all colours in South Africa, Australia, as well as Namibia, Russia and China.
All Cassandra Goad Jewellery is designed and made in our workshops in London.
Ever in search of the unusual and rare, Cassandra travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form.
The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal. The jewel is then mounted, assayed, polished and set.
