Cassandra's Seigai Wave design began when she was making ramen in Kyoto - for her, an exciting and terrifying experience all at once. Cassandra proclaims to be a terrible cook..... and the ramen dough she kneaded became long white noodles which were then boiled up for lunch. Miraculously they were delicious. But it was the tea served in small blue and white cups decorated with waves that stayed with Cassandra. She sketched out those waves, the overlapping recurring theme in Japanese lacquerware and encircled them with her pencil into the flat oval ends of cufflinks. From the journey to Japan.
Seigai Waves double ended cufflinks in silver with turquoise enamel. Each cufflink measures approximately 14x20mm. Personalisation available.
Cassandra herself designs all her jewels and works closely with her stone cutters and craftsmen throughout the process from design through to creation including on her bespoke projects.
Ever in search of the unusual and rare, Cassandra travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form.
The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal. The jewel is then mounted, assayed, polished and set.
