Small Fish necklace pendant charm in silver. The fish symbol has been identified with reincarnation and the life force as well as symbolising Christianity. An ancient and talismanic symbol. From the Journey to India.
The pendant, including loop, measures approximately 17mm in length.
All Cassandra Goad pendants are sold without chains so that you may select the chain of your choice, both in style and length. If you would like to add a chain have a look at our selection here.
The fish is an auspicious symbol in India. I remembered seeing a small jewelled Mughal style fish on my travels and wanted to recreate the Kundan- setting of the emeralds with bright enamels. At first my fish was small, double sided and the recesses for the enamel so small that I decided to leave them unenamelled.
So, then I made a larger fish, enamelling the two sides in varying colours , blue and green, turquoise and green….with a secret compartment that was revealed when it was slid apart.
All Cassandra Goad Jewellery is designed and made in our workshops in London.
Ever in search of the unusual and rare, Cassandra travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form.
The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal. The jewel is then mounted, assayed, polished and set.
