Tagliatelle

Cassandra's Tagliatelle design is inspired by nests of pasta. Now one of Cassandra's Classic Collections, the Tagliatelle design exists as a bangle, earring, pendant and a ring. If you prefer a slightly more minimalist feel to your jewellery, shop our linguine collection as well.

According to the legend, tagliatelle pasta was invented in 1487, when the Lord of Bologna asked his chef to prepare a banquet in honour of the bride-to-be Lucrezia Borgia, who would visit the city on her way to marry the Duke of Ferrara. The unforgettable banquet included a special dish he made cutting long strips of pasta inspired by the bride's legendary blonde hair. Crafted in gold, the beautiful shape of the pasta nests became my Tagliatelle ring.

Craftsmanship and Sourcing

All Cassandra Goad jewellery is designed and made in the workshops in London.
As a gemmologist, the chemical composition and properties of gemstones have always fascinated Cassandra. Ever in search of the unusual and rare, she travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form. The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal, his interpretation is vital to the overall feel of the jewel. The jewel is then mounted, assayed , polished and set. Many of Cassandra's jewels can be hand engraved with a personal message to make a unique bespoke gift.
