At Cassandra Goad a crown is made each year inspired on Cassandra's travels. The modest and elegent Finnish Crown was inspired by a small Finnish Crown charm Cassandra found on her travels to Karelia, while the opulent Danish Crown was inspired by that of King Christian V of Denmark during her travels across Scandinavia.
Cassandra's quote pendants began when her cousin Matilda Goad asked her to engrave some words from her grandmother that she wanted to keep with her always. Not wanting the words to be easily readable by others, Cassandra created a pendant shaped like a worn and treasured Roman coin with its uneven outline and surface. She then engraved it with the words in a spiral, like the French arrondissements or an 'en colimacon' staircase, often looping the serifs of the letters from one line to the next.
Traditionally, a birthstone is associated with a month of the year. Originating back to Ancient Greece, these stones are often attached to myths about healing powers and therapeutic significance.
