The Mosaic Astrantia design is inspired by both Moroccan mosaics and by Astrantia flowers - the botanical name for which is believed to have originated from either the Latin word 'Aster' or Greek word 'Astra', meaning star, appropriately named to represent their flower shape. The Astrantia has delicate long stamens reaching out from the petals like compact clusters of firework-like flowers. From the Journey to Morocco.
