Pesos hoop earrings in silver. Inspired by the Mexican currency known as pesos. The Spanish had introduced the eight piece and the peso comes from this old coin. From the journey to Mexico.
Each earring measures approximately 56mm tall.
The original Mexican currency was the peso. For her "Ola Mexicana" collection, Cassandra's fascination with coins - that started with her Croesus collection in 1992 - continues. In the Pesos design 'circles' of gold sheet are cut out individually and literally 'stitched' together with fine chain. The necklace length can easily be adjusted to suit different necklines. Polished on one side, the necklace can be reversed to reveal the matt side.
All Cassandra Goad Jewellery is designed and made in our workshops in London.
Ever in search of the unusual and rare, Cassandra travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form.
The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal. The jewel is then mounted, assayed, polished and set.
