One of Cassandra's happiest memories when designing her Brazil collection was staying in Rio do Janeiro. Arriving by plane to the verdant hills of the city, lapped by waves and sandy beaches, was one of the greatest arrivals any traveller could have. Cassandra whiled away too many afternoons on beaches eating ice cream of the açaí palm (Euterpe oleracea -a species of palm tree cultivated for their fruit and superior hearts of palm) and so, it was probably inevitable that these panicles of berries would inspire her. Cassandra's Acai design echoes these clusters of berries and it is the movement of the individual stones that brings the design to life. From the Journey to Brazil.

Cassandra herself designs all her jewels and works closely with her stone cutters and craftsmen throughout the process from design through to creation including on her bespoke projects.
Ever in search of the unusual and rare, Cassandra travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form.
The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal. The jewel is then mounted, assayed, polished and set.
