Alice Alphabet Letter single ended cuffllinks in silver with one initial. The Alice collection was conceived after discussing making a smaller collection of letters with a client who wanted one for his daughter, Alice, to celebrate her success at school. The letters were inspired by the typefaces at the Type Museum, London. The Type Museum houses collections of the Monotype system of typefaces which were in use in England and around the world until very recently, although with the proliferation of computer printing the Monotype office has now closed. Cassandra has always been fascinated by styles of script, both ancient and modern. From Cassandra's Classic Collection.
The top of each cufflink measures approximately 13mm tall.
If your desired letter is out of stock or you would like two different letters, please contact the showroom on 020 7730 2202.
The letters of my initial pendants, bracelets and cufflinks are all from the typefaces I love the most: Bodoni, Columna, and Palatino. I named the collection 'Alice', as Alice was the first person I made the first letter for. I am fascinated by typography - seeing it as an art form when I write with my italic pen, I like to draw each letter as a design. So, the series of letters like 'R' and 'S', often have swirls and flourishes, added to them across the page.
All Cassandra Goad Jewellery is designed and made in our workshops in London.
Ever in search of the unusual and rare, Cassandra travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form.
The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal. The jewel is then mounted, assayed, polished and set.
