How to Choose the Perfect Chain

Chain Thickness
When selecting a necklace chain, the most important considerations is chain weight and how the chain will support your pendant.
Light Chains
Suitable for smaller, lighter pendants such as Medallions, Crosses, Mashrabiya and Talya.
Belcher Light | Marine Light | Fine Trace | Fine Trace with Pearls
Thicker Chains
For larger and heavier pendants such as Quote, Compass, Roi Soleil and Helios pendants.
Statement Chains
While all of our chains are designed to hold pendants, certain styles can be worn beautifully on their own as statement necklaces.
For larger pendants such as Roi Soleil or Epidavros, Cassandra particularly loves pairing them with the Beaumarchais Figaro chain, attaching the pendant directly into the clasp mechanism to create a bolder, more sculptural look.
Chain Length
Understanding necklace chain length is key to finding the right fit and style.
Our chains are available in 16" and 18" lengths as standard, with 20", 22", and 30" lengths offered in selected larger chain designs. We also offer adjustable chains in 18"- 16", 20"- 18", and 22"- 20" lengths, allowing for greater versatility in styling and layering.
The 18" chain is our most popular length, suited to everyday wear. A 16" chain offers a shorter, more delicate fit and is often preferred for younger clients, or for those wishing to keep their pendant slightly higher and out of reach of little hands.
For men, 20"- 24" chains are often the most popular, sitting comfortably and working well both with and without a pendant. Heavier weight chains are also frequently chosen for everyday wear.

Looking After Your Chain
All Cassandra Goad chains are crafted to the highest standard. To maintain their condition, we recommend the following care guidance:
1. Avoid pairing heavy pendants with fine chains to prevent strain or breakage.
2. Do not sleep in your necklace chain.
3. Apply lotions, perfumes, and cosmetics before putting on your chain to prevent congesting the clasp mechanism and affecting its effectiveness.
4. Keep chains away from children and pets to avoid pulling or snagging.
5. Always unclasp your chain when removing it. Removing your chain over your head can cause the links to become damaged and elongated.
