Behind the design

Compass

The Inspiration

For the Greeks, the sea has always been woven into the fabric of daily life, a constant rhythm and connection to both land and people. For Cassandra, the compass became a symbol of this timeless relationship. Originally conceived over fifteen years ago as an engagement ring, the design resurfaced during one of her many voyages across the Aegean.

As she gazed into the crystal-clear waters of Greece, she saw more than just the sparkling blue; the faceted aquamarine, kyanite, pink tourmaline, and deep garnets mirrored the mystical hues of sunsets reflecting off the open sea. Inspired anew, Cassandra revisited her original design, capturing the ever-changing colours of the ocean with a mix of gemstones. It became a postcard of sorts, a reminder of holidays by the water, where the cobalt sea spills into the soul.

The Craftsmanship

The Compass design is a beautifully minimal setting, serving as the perfect vessel for the gemstones it holds. From the deep blue of kyanite to the golden flecks of lapis lazuli, each stone is chosen with care. Evoking the spirit of the sea and the souls who journey across it, the Compass design is a celebration of nature's colour palette.
