The Gyroskop pendant in yellow gold is inspired by the Scandinavian fascination with the onion (lök) motif, a design element that gained popularity in the 1950s. The geometric, concentric layers of the onion have appeared throughout Scandinavian design, from porcelain vases to sculptural lighting. While creating her Lök design, Cassandra noticed the concentric circles shifting delicately before being soldered into place. This subtle movement evoked the form and function of the Ancient Greek gyroscope, leading to the birth of the Gyroskop design with its signature moveable circles.
