Currently featured in our showroom is the Roman Sculpture Luigi Guglielmi's 'Eve After The Fall'. The Striking statue is his most famous work and possible inspired by the verses of John Milton's epic poem, 'Paradise Lost'.
Guglielmi's work has been desribed as languid and seductive, almost as if the Biblical subject had become a mere pretext for depicting a voluptuous female nude. However, these are precisely the features that ensured the succuess if the invention, which still stands today as a paraigmatic work of the fin-de-siècle Italian sculpture.
