Hallmarking follows a long tradition dating back to 1300 that confirms the metal and its fineness, the maker (initials CG in our case), the year (letter 'y' for 2023) and where it was made (a leopard for London). Commemorating an important occasion and moment in time, each hallmark adds a special layer of narrative to a piece of jewellery.

Thomas Fattorini supplied the artwork for the King Charles III hallmark which depicts the King's head against an oval background and is based on a medal by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS.
Look out for the King's head!
