Cassandra's love of the deep blue of Periwinkle flowers began in her childhood. A steep wall of her grandparents' garden was covered in them and she often collected them on summer afternoons. The shape of the design echoes the outline of the flowers and the gentle dome that rises and falls from the centre of the flower gives a charming feel to the motif.
