For one of my earliest ring designs, I wanted to recreate the same feeling that a pebble does when thrown into a pool of water. As if the pebble were being the cause of the ripples.
There is something magical about the rings of water that appear when you throw a stone out to sea. An endlessflow of ripples spills out, leaving the pattern of a whirlpool So, I named my ring: Whirlpool, and over the years, I have set deep blue sapphires, fiery spinels, and mossy green peridots, at the heart at the heart of the ripples. Whirlpool is the perfect gift for a special person who makes ripples in your life.
Citrine is a gemmologist's gold. Pale stones remind Cassandra of white waterlillies, the brighter yellows of tumbles of Bansiae roses and the golden richer hues of autumnal dahlias. Natural citrines can be found in Brazil, Spain and Madagascar. As November's birthstone they are said to give energy and inspiration, calm tempers and soothe anger.
All Cassandra Goad jewellery is designed and made in the
workshops in London.
As a gemmologist, the chemical composition and properties of gemstones have always fascinated Cassandra. Ever in search of the unusual and rare, she travels the world to source beautiful gemstones, either in the rough or cut form. The craftsman works as an artist recreating the design in metal, his interpretation is vital to the overall feel of the jewel. The jewel is then mounted, assayed , polished and set. Many of Cassandra's jewels can be hand engraved with a personal message to make a unique bespoke gift.
